NHS England arrangements mean that GP practices now have the option to register patients who live outside the practice area without any obligation to provide home visits.

If you move out of the practice boundary the practice will consider your registration without home visits if it is clinically appropriate and practical in each individual case.

We may decide that it is not in your best interests or practical for you to be registered as an out of area registration. In these circumstances we will decline to register you and advise you that you should seek to register with a more local practice to your home.

If accepted as a patient here at the practice you will receive the full range of services provided as normal. However, if you have an urgent care need the practice cannot help you at home and after speaking to a Doctor we may ask you to call NHS 111 and they will put you in touch with a local service (this may be a face to face appointment with a local healthcare professional or a home visit where necessary).

Please note if accepted as an out of area registration with this practice but your health needs change we may review your registration to see if it would be more appropriate for you to be registered with a GP practice closer to your home.
